LET IT SNOW

Are you a skier?  If so, you know, the month of March brings some great skiing conditions because the snowfall can be epic. Today, as I write this blog post, hail is falling outside, and some folks are up in Tahoe skiing.

Even if you are not a skier, you can appreciate snowpack because you know it is storing up water for us to help avoid a drought later.

At ACE Fiduciary Group, ANPC, we are serious about growing an organization that can serve ‘orphan elders’, adults with special needs and families Through The Generations.  To offer excellent services of trustee and conservator, our organization is building a “snowpack” of donations from our supporters and fees earned through the cases we handle. We want to use the resources we have been entrusted with to build a strong team.

One way to help us build our “snowpack” is to make a designated gift to our newly launched “Let It Snow” Foundation.  Donors who give designated gifts for our “Let It Snow” Foundation, will be saying they want to help our most vulnerable clients as we search out grants, legacy gifts and donations to carry us into the next generation.

One of our dearest clients was featured at our Livin’ La Vida Loca event last October. She had sufficient resources to enable her living needs as she aged. Except, a trusted caregiver managed to convince her to give over $400,000 of her savings to him. She thought he was her boyfriend. He was not.  Because she was conserved after her son learned of this and no one could make a case that she did not want to give him this money, no criminal or civil case could be launched against the caregiver. Now she is relying only on Social Security.  Her monthly memory care costs exceed her income by approximately $4,500.00 per month. There is no safety net for her and others like her.

Initial donations for the “Let It Snow” Foundation will be used to research grants to help pay for adequate and safe memory care or other costs of living for elderly conservatives.  We are also reaching out to the community and our wonderful donors to educate and help us find resources for her and others like her.
